Some questions to break ice in the next lesson.

Dialogue (4-5 minutes):

  1. Student A.

Youhave just met a friend from your childhood.  You remember those times as a very pleasant period of your life.  You think those times were better than the present.. Try to convince him that you are right.  Try to get to an agreement. YOU START THE DIALOGUE.

2. Student B.

Youhave just met a friend from your childhood.  You remember those times as a very nasty and unpleasant period of your life.  You think those times weremuch worse than the present.. Try to convince him that you are right.  Try to get to an agreement.

Monologue: (2-3 minutes)

a) Talk about how your life used to be when you were a child.

 

 

Module 3. Unit One.

Dialogues (5 minutes):

  1. Student A.

You are going to share a flat with a partner.  Both of you work in the morning and have similar timetables.  Decide on how you are going to organize your daily routines: times to use the bathroom, distribution of houseworks, rules of the house, etc.  You would like to have a pet. Talk about the advantages and benefits of it. Try to get to an agreement. YOU START THE DIALOGUE.

2. Student B.

You are going to share a flat with a partner.  Both of you work in the morning and have similar timetables.  Decide on how you are going to organize your daily routines: times to use the bathroom, distribution of houseworks, rules of the house, etc.  You don´t like pets. Talk about the disadvantages of having to take care of one. Try to get to an agreement.


  1. Student A.

You share a flat with a partner,  and you are quite angry with him/her, because you think he/she is quite untidy and does not take care of the house.  Try to make him/her change this attitude. Try to get to an agreement. YOU START THE DIALOGUE.

2. Student B.

You share a flat with a partner,  and you are a bit stressed with him/her, because you think he/she is obssesed with order and is pressing you too much. Try to make him/her change this attitude.  Try to get to an agreement.

Monologue:

Talk about a normal day in your life: timetables, what you do, job, activities, what you usually eat, etc. (3 minutes)
